40.5 Week Appt

Still here! My midwife came yesterday for my appointment and it went well. The baby's heartrate was between 130 and 140 bpm. My blood pressure was 100/68, no problems with my urine, which is great. I measured 39 cm. I am about 75% effaced (which is better than last week), but not really any more dilated. And I had her try to strip my membranes, but she said they were already pretty loose, so there wasn't much to do.

And the best news is that the baby is in the perfect position. Her back was on my left side, which is what you want. So either she just turned herself that way, or that blows my theory that she was in a bad position and why I haven't gone into labor yet.

So, we have no idea why she isn't here yet. And I actually feel better than I have in awhile! Who knows. My family is going crazy waiting for this birth, but I'm feeling pretty calm (at least today). :)
